Utter exhaustion. That’s where I am. When I think I can’t go anymore I rest for a little while….nobody needs me to get sick in the midst of all of this.
Our house went on the market last week, and it was a scramble right up until the moment that the first people came to see it. It took me two days to get the house photographed for the listing…..and that was after weeks of packing and decluttering. About a week before I took the listing photos I took some before pictures….but they aren’t true befores…because I’d been working on this stuff for weeks.
The last two days before listing were full of straightening up rooms enough to make them look uncluttered and ready to show. Two days of chasing the twins out of rooms where they were screaming and throwing toys around or pulling items out of closets.
I felt like I was developing a twitch from trying to get rooms perfectly clean. And now I have to KEEP them perfectly clean until we move. It’s more than a tall order. 19 days. 19 more days. We must be insane to move when our twins are still so little. And yet, I’m amazed at how much we accomplished in a week. We couldn’t have done it without my dad who came and helped us do some repairs around the house. He is amazing.
