It’s Spring break again….yeah, not for my children, but for my husband. It’s a thing when your spouse is a teacher. You don’t get to choose the times when you have vacation days as a teacher, but you do get to have a few days off that others don’t get.
Determined to not let this time slip by us we left bright and early this morning to take the girls to school. Then went to the bank to try and open a business bank account, because, ya know, I’m fancy and going to be an author soonish ;). Then we went to city hall to find out about how to file with our city to be a sole proprietor business. This is also fancy, and we have to have our home inspected to make sure that we will not cause fires. I’m not sure why they think that we’re more likely to set our house on fire as business owners than as residents…maybe they know the former mayor of Kirksville? (That was an inside joke for people of the ‘ville…the former mayor set her bar on fire for insurance money. Twice.) [Read more…]
